Beyond Carts introducing a new feature in Microsoft 365 Business Central that simplifies the process of collecting and importing items into purchase orders for inventory replenishment.

This feature allows users to create a shopping cart within the Business Central environment, enabling them to accumulate items for later conversion into purchase orders.

This streamlined workflow enhances efficiency and accuracy in the order management process.


Features:

  • Shopping Cart Creation: Users can create a shopping cart within their Microsoft 365 Business Central account. This cart serves as a temporary repository for selected items.
  • Item Selection: From within the system, users can browse and search for items to add to their shopping cart.
  • Quantity Adjustment: Users have the flexibility to adjust quantities and remove items from the shopping cart as needed, ensuring precise order planning.
  • Cart Management: Multiple shopping carts can be managed simultaneously, allowing users to separate items for different users or vendors.
  • Integration with Purchase Orders: When ready, users can seamlessly convert the contents of the shopping cart into purchase orders for inventory replenishment. This step ensures that the correct items and quantities are ordered for the warehouse.
  • Overview: During the import function all shopping carts are displayed which could be relevant for a stock order. Here, it is possible to filter in advance by vendor.
  • Recurring items: There is an option to mark items as "Recurring" so that they will not be removed from the shopping cart after an import. These items can be used multiple times in further orders.
